Today I issued a challenge to the beautiful souls in my group and I thought it was so important that I would open it up to the world.

So here you go friends, we’re going to do things a little bit differently this year. This November, instead of only practicing gratitude for all of the amazing blessings in our lives, we’re also going to be intentionally putting kindness into the world.

While I love being thankful, I feel as though we can push ourselves just a little bit more to give our love away. If we believe the news and all the media outlets then we would believe that there aren’t any good people left in the world.

But I however refuse to succumb to their darkness and I instead will shine my light bright and I’d like to invite each and everyone one of you to join us.

Every single day this month I want you to pay a compliment to a stranger. I want you to intentionally seek out one person that you would normally ignore and I want you to make eye contact with them.

I want you to look at the fast food worker in the eyes and get off of your phone. I want you to tell the girl at Walmart that you love her tattoo.

I want you to tell the momma struggling at the grocery store with her kids that you see her and that she’s doing a good job. I want you to hold the door for a stranger and say something really nice.

I want you to send out positive energy and love into the world. I want you to open your heart to this new experience even if it makes you uncomfortable, because that’s when we grow.

I want you to understand the impact that your kindness could have on one persons life. I want you to seek out those that are different then you and I want you to get close to them.

The world doesn’t need to be a better place friends, we simply need to be better people. And here’s the perfect opportunity to practice kindness and to learn that we are all truly the same on the inside.

Include your kids and get them on board.
