Finding your way to stillness

There’s a place inside of us that doesn’t use words

It’s a place of peace and presence

All the voices in our heads are quiet and the soul is completely awake when you are here

It’s where all the love and magic flow from

It exists inside all of us and the more time you spend there the easier it to find your way to the stillness

Every single time I get done with yoga I have the most amazing feeling. It’s as though my brain has completely calmed itself down. There’s absolutely no worry of the past or the future, it’s just a calming presence that’s entered my body.

My energy level is at an all time chill and I don’t have a care in the world. I would even go as far to call it a yoga high. It’s a totally euphoric feeling and it’s exactly what we all need more of.

I am so freaking excited to be getting my yoga certification right now so I can teach more people how to find their way to their own stillness.

I can’t even tell you how many times a week I hear someone complaining about being tired. And you know what I always say to them?

I say “Honey Child you ain’t tired but your poor little soul is!” And I mean that with my whole heart.

We’ve been taught to go go go! To do do do! To achieve and to always be more, but if your being really honest with yourself then you already know that outside sources of happiness don’t last long.

Even when you’ve finally made it the top of your dream job, and have the best house around you will still be left feeling empty if you haven’t learned how to be still with yourself.

If you haven’t learned contentment and how to be your own best friend, then you will always be on the search for something more, instead of learning to be thankful for all the blessing surrounding you every single day.

When we learn to truly be still with our hearts then we can begin the process of coming home to ourselves. We spend our entire lives running from ourselves and now I’m telling you that the happiness you desire is tucked away inside you waiting on you to find it.

It’s won’t come from your mind, because it full of fears and it has a job to do. But it will come from a place in your heart.

There’s a million different paths to your heart but being busy is not one of them. If you truly want the high that comes from yoga on a daily basis you can most certainly find it within yourself whenever you want it.

Happiness occurs in the every day moments and in the now. Suffering is just an affliction of the brain, and once we learn how to come from our hearts instead of our heads everything changes.

You can find the happiness inside of yourself if your willing to be still and receive.
