Hello beautiful people!
I’m bringing you part 3 of a 5 part blog series on change. If your just catching up today go back and read the last 2 before you read this one.
Step one was awareness and step two was relationships, and now we’re on to number three, which is discipline!
You’ve got to become disciplined in your daily routines.
Why discipline you ask?!?!??
Because motivation and willpower alone don’t cut it. That determination will only get you so far before you tucker out and begin self sabotaging.
And in all honesty you are not the only one in this world that does that. In fact we all do it until we learn what we’re doing wrong.
Feelings are temporary friends so one day you might be totally motivated and gung ho about the change that your bringing into your life, and then 2 weeks later your wondering how in the hell your going to make yourself do what you need to do tomorrow.
This is a pattern that all humans go through. It’s the old ways wanting to fight you and keep you small. It’s the negative voices in your head that you need to overcome.
In order to create real change one must create new habits, and then stick with them.
So many people quit when they are right around the corner from a humongous break through. And it’s simply because you’ve trained yourself to do so.
But what if this time you actually decided that your determination was going to beat out your bad habits?
What you of decided that this was the very last time that you were going to give up on yourself?!!!
What if you listened to someone else for once and put your own thoughts on the back burner for awhile?
I promise you that you’ve got to want the change more then you want the comfort. You’ve got to be willing to let go of the old ways and forge a new path.
It doesn’t matter what you want to change, as long as your disciplined then you can do anything in your entire life.
But, as soon as you give up on yourself, you have to start from scratch again.
Take it from me, the girl who had to learn to get past herself, that you can anything with the right guidance and the right tools.
When motivation leaves you feeling empty, just call up discipline and I promise you will make it through.
