Monday’s lesson on acceptance

Learning to replace fear with faith isn’t an easy job, but someone’s got to do it.

The world sure as hell doesn’t need more people running around afraid. We’ve got plenty of that going on already.

The world needs more acts of courage.

It needs more people to show up and to use their voice to speak truth to bullshit.

The world can be transformed and healed by love but only when were brave enough to see the light.

When it comes to choosing faith you’ve got to get your mind disciplined to let go, and you’ve got to practice opening your heart instead of closing it:

You’ve got to learn to update your blueprints so your not running on some outdated system from your child hood.

You want to develop a new voice that helps you share your feelings instead of learning how to avoid them.

The feelings that come from faith and come from fear are complete opposites. You can’t shines your light while being stuck in the fear zone because that’s not how this works.

Every single time you choose faith, fear is going to appear. But just because fear shows it’s face it doesn’t mean that you have to sit down and have dinner with it.

Actually the sooner you acknowledge it’s presence the sooner it can be on its way. I used to get stuck for weeks in my head and I couldn’t muster the strength to get beyond my own mind.

But as I’ve grown spiritually and I’ve given my soul permission to heal and to grow I’ve learned that I can get beyond my own mind.

I don’t have to waste a week wondering what’s going on with someone when I can just ask them. I don’t have to wonder and I don’t have to confabulate and I don’t need to be stuck there.

It’s scary but it’s energizing and it’s freeing to let go of all the what ifs. Living a life based on faith doesn’t mean your perfect and it doesn’t mean that you won’t ever get hurt.

It doesn’t mean you won’t make mistakes or that you won’t ever mess up because you most certainly will. But what it does mean is that your brave enough to look within and to keep going.

It means that you love yourself enough to know what’s acceptable and what’s unacceptable for your heart and for your life.

It means that your journey doesn’t look like everyone else’s and that your completely ok with this.

It means that you’ve been a given a voice because your strong enough to use it and that this is only the beginning.
