An open letter to all husbands

Based on how you treated your wife today

πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

What did you teach your daughter to expect from men?

I absolutely love this one and it resembles my current situation. There’s nothing more important that a man will teach his daughter then how to love a woman.

I know how important dads are, whether they are present or not, they shape the way we see and receive love.

Dads are a little girls road map to their own heart.

They are the first men in their lives to teach them the difference between what’s right and what’s wrong.

Little girls are beautiful, emotional beings with little fragile hearts.

How do I know?

Because I’m a girl

Because I had daddy issues,

And because I’m still learning to heal my broken child.

Little girls turn into young ladies, who will eventually turn into wives and mothers.

It’s so very important to me that my daughter understands how valuable she is.

She needs to know that wives come before parents.

She needs to learn that no one and nothing should be able to come between the union of a marriage.

She needs to learn boundaries so that she doesn’t compromise her own feelings to make someone else happy.

I will teach her self love by loving myself.

I will teach her about being a wife because I’m strong enough to walk away.

I will teach her that history doesn’t have to repeat itself.

And most of all I will teach her about loving without conditions πŸ’œ

Because that’s my favorite gift of all.

  1. Thanks for your post
It is both parents and how they relate to their children. It is about how parents show their children how to respond to society. It is about each of us becoming fully functional, fully engaged with life, appreciating God and His desire for us to love Him, love ourselves, and love others.
There is not one answer. Yet, our parents were the first to influence us. Likewise, we are/were the first to influence our children.
God bless you, Tavia, for giving love to your child…beyond what you may have received!

  2. I posted quite awhile back about the problems I create in my life by being too forgiving. You commented that it was ok for me to forgive but I needed to set boundaries. Seems so simple but I needed to hear it. You’ll be happy to know that your words stayed in my head and those thoughts turned to actions and it’s made a huge difference in my life. You make a difference, and I love you. ❀️
