The lens we look through will determine what we seeš Renee Swope
We donāt see things as they are we see things as we are.
This means we all have a set of lenses that we see the world through. These lenses are shaped by our experiences, by our families, by our lives.
When we are born, we are born with a clean slate. As we begin to live our lives, so begins the writing on the walls of our hearts. Whatever we see, feel, and live will become a part of the way we see and the way we feel.
We all interpret information differently depending on who we are as people. I can write a blog and I can have 10 people tell me they loved it and that they saw theirselves in my story. They felt the exact same way that I did and they thought that they were the only ones who felt that way.
They thank me for sharing my story and for helping them look inside. They see me as a teacher and healer of the heart. They themselves are seeking the light and they are becoming the healers of the world.
Now on the flip side of that, someone can read that exact blog and they can think š¤ Wow, sheās bitter or sheās an angry woman. They might say things like her writing is awful and sheās embarrassing herself.
They might think Iām vindictive instead of brave and thatās ok.
I already understand the way the brain works and the way the way the heart works because Iāve been studying myself the last 3 years.
Iāve taken the time to learn about me. To heal my traumas to take the walls down. Every single day I have to pray and meditate and do yoga š§āāļø in order to keep my spirit aligned. So I know that Iām exactly where I need to be.
I used to avoid myself until I learned to love myself. To look inside and to get real with me about my own set of lenses. To adjust them and to clean them so that I might learn to see myself and my life differently.
They way you see things is a direct reflection back into your own heart. Your lenses shape the way your kids see and the way they love. Their walls are being built right now in your own homes.
If you want to see things or people or even the world differently you most certainly can. You can practice your free will by asking the Holy Spirit to enter your body and control your thoughts.
May we all learn to adjust our glasses to reflect more love then fear
May we all learn to turn towards the light instead of away from it
And may we also learn to surrender in the name of love instead of fighting simply because weāre afraid.
āThe world never gives you permission to shine, only LOVE does thatā
