A rainbow is a promise from God that he hasn’t forgotten about us.
Thursday night by husband and I were sitting on the front porch reading our Dr. James and Shirley Dobson devotional together.
I’m not one who believes in coincidences so it’s important to tell you about the question we were working on.
We were talking about how God honors the Times that we forgive someone. I had just said that I often noticed that when I did things Gods way instead of my own that I would notice little things that were a blessing during the day.
Such as pulling up to Jazzercise and having an open parking spot right out front available for me to take, Or having someone behind me pay for my meal.
Or getting to work and having surprise sitting on my station from a friend, or hitting every single green light in town.
Now I must admit had I not been in the middle of an awakening then I might not have even noticed these blessings.
I would have gone on with my day unconscious to the little miracles that were occurring around me.
This day was no different. As we sat there talking a neighbor friend was walking by with his dog. We said hello and chatted for a minute and he started to walk off.
He then promptly stopped and said look there’s a double rainbow. So we hurried off of our porch and went out to look, and it was the most beautiful sight.
I asked everyone to share their pictures with me and most of these rainbows are from that very evening.
I feel blessed by the promise of the rainbow. I think everyone else felt the love also.

I think one of the coolest things about this one was that there wasn’t a lick of rain around us. I’m sure it was raining somewhere but not here.
I think that God was blessing us for having difficult conversations and growing in the ways that he wants us to instead of the way the world wants us to be.
While I have no clue what the future brings I do know that there’s hope for a better life after this one.
I know that the things that threaten to destroy us in this world will be no longer able to touch us and that we will all feel the peace that comes along with the rainbow.
Until then thank you lord for showing us that you are here with us and that you haven’t forgotten about us.
May you see many more rainbows that lead to feelings of hope and love throughout your lifetime.
May you learn to see the blessings that are bestowed upon you daily as you continue on your journey in this lifetime 💜
And most of all you may you learn to love yourself as God Loves us so we can storm the world with more love.
