A Valentine’s Lesson We All Need To Learn

I clearly remember the days when I felt as though I could NEVER spend money on myself, especially for skin care.

There was no way I even needed that in my life. I had completely trained myself to put my own needs last. What was I thinking?

Here I am working my entire life to provide a great life for my family, but I never thought about me. I actually believed it was selfish if I wanted anything.

I thought I had to serve everyone else and then I could use what little energy I had left for myself.

Kids first

Jobs first

Bills first

Me last

Isn’t that normal!??????

Isn’t that what society has taught us makes a good mom and wifey and in general?

Sacrifice yourself for everyone else?!?!?!?

It’s what we do, it’s what we’re taught and it’s a perfect example of an outdated blueprint system!

Your time has expired and I’m here to teach you a new way.

It’s going to be weird and uncomfortable. At times it will be super awkward and it will make you afraid! But this is perfectly normal my friends. This is your body’s response to change.

If you want to give your kids a gift, then let them watch you blossom into the beautiful soul that your supposed to be. Teach them that self love is a priority and not an option.

Teach them that by loving yourself, you are able to love them better.

Be honest and say “I never knew how to love myself, but I think it’s so important for you to learn that I’m willing to learn it right beside you”

I am worthy of way more then good skin care, but if I’m being completely honest, it was the first step in learning to love myself.

I know it might sound silly to some of you, because you already spoil yourself, and if that’s the case you should work on spoiling others.

But for those of you who always say

“I could never afford that”

You should know that your worth far more then you understand and when you begin to love your true self you won’t ever say that again.

This Valentine’s Day I challenge you to #spoilyourself

Peace

God Bless

Namaste
