Learning Is NOT a spectator sport

Wouldn’t it be nice if learning we’re like osmosis and you could just read a book and magically become skilled in that subject?

Let’s say I wanted to learn yoga. So I watch the video on YouTube, but I don’t actually get up and participate. I just lay on the couch, and watch them do their thing.

Do you think I’d ever learn how to do yoga if I just watched the videos day after day? Will the information jump from the screen, to my brain, to my muscles? And then suddenly, the next thing I know, I’m standing on my head in the middle of my living room floor!

Ha ha oh what a sight!

As much as we all probably wish this could happen, we know in fact, that it’s not happening!!!

So what do we do if we want to learn the yoga?

We get our dupas up off the couch, and we start doing the yoga. We don’t judge ourselves because we’re new to it. We are learning to meet ourselves where we are.

That’s the point of yoga. To become centered and practice presence. To practice the pause and to reset your heart. To break free from the ego and to connect with your spirit again.

To bring a calmness into your life that will add clarity to your journey.

I hope you do the πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ yoga

Or whatever it is that makes you get off the couch

Thank you for stopping in and reading my blog πŸ’œ I appreciate your support
