Good evening friends on the internet ๐
Thanks for reading my blog I do appreciate you!
How are you?
I’m sitting on my couch wrapped up in a cozy blanket because as you well know, it’s winter up in here.
I’m writing to you tonight so I can share a new Christmas tradition we started this year with my daughter. She’s 13 you know, that fun age that we all loved so much, that we wish we could go back and do it again. (Cough Cough)
She’s not yet grown as my son used to tell me, but she’s not quite believing that Santa’s about to fill her stocking.
So where does that leave us with Christmas right around the corner?
Stuck right in the middle of wanting to grow up and not wanting to grow up is exactly where we are. I mean come on don’t you remember what it was like? Christmas is so magical as a child and even as an adult.
So this year I could see the struggle inside my daughter. I could see her wanting to be excited and wanting to be grown at the same time.
So I decided we we’re going to come up with a new game plan. We are going to do the 12 days of Christmas inspired by of course the 12 days of Christmas ๐
She’s going to open a present everyday until the birthday of Jesus! These presents aren’t going to be expensive items at all๐
But they will be fun, and shes already counting the days until we’re at 12. Im going to enjoy this too because I get just as excited about giving her things as she gets about receiving them. As our kids get older and we do too, let me remind you that they are struggling with these changes just as much as you are.
So take time to make special memories with them while they are still home. Soon they will be gone.
I know you want to make Christmas special for your family, so do it!
Start a new tradition this year with your middles and fill your soul at the same time.
I hope you’ve been inspired to bring the magic into your home ๐
Thanks for stopping by
