I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love Christmas and everything that comes with it.
Sure I could get caught up in the drama and the hustle and bustle of Christmas, but I’ve learned to practice Presence over the years.
If we think about all of things we have to do for the month, I can totally see where it would become overwhelming.
The baking, the shopping, the wrapping, the planning, the stockings and so much more. But if your always in the future then your missing out on the now.
If your always thinking about the next thing, you can’t quite possibly be enjoying the present moment.
Christmas comes with lots of love, and lots of sadness too. I can safely say it’s an emotional day for lots of people, for many different reasons. But emotions aren’t bad, they are actually good for our hearts.
It’s how Jesus gets in there and fills us up. It’s how we become closer to our authentic selves, and how we can become centered in love again.
I hope this Christmas you learn the be still and to appreciate the presence of the love that surrounds you.
“Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen”
