Did you know how ever you start your morning is setting the tone for the entire day?
Do you wake up and think a thousand negative thoughts before your feet can even hit the ground?
I know that I most certainly do some mornings. I used to wake up and think
I didn’t sleep very well last night
Today’s going to be a long day
My neck hurts
My feet hurt
It’s cold outside
Today’s gonna be a long day
I’m tired
And so on and so on and so on💁
I can tell you that when I wake
Up and I’m thinking all that crazy, I now know how to stop it in it’s tracks 💜
I laugh at myself like I would a child, and I say girl stop those thoughts. I don’t judge myself, I simply notice the thoughts and I stop them.
I then proceed to thank God for waking me up me today. I say a prayer while I’m making the coffee and I begin to feel a peace and calmness enter my body.
Next I begin to practice my gratitude! The things that I’m thankful for!
My family
My friends
My house
My life
My job
My writing
And it just continues from there.
If you want to change your life, you have to change your mind and your daily routine. You have to be willing to do things differently if you want a new way of living!
