Compassion, or Anger? The choice is yours 💜

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, faith and fear cannot exist together. Anger and compassion, yet another example of 2 completely different emotions.

These feelings are polar opposites of each other. As soon as one of them enters the body, the other one is gone. Anger comes from a place of fear every single time. It’s a defense mechanism that keeps us safe from whatever it is that we don’t want to feel.

Make no mistake in realizing that anger is a choice. Just as love is a choice. We’ve trained ourselves to respond to life instead of learning presence.

We allow our feelings to take us over and then we choose to become those feelings. All the while stonewalling ourselves into thinking that we don’t have a choice.

When in all reality you have a choice every single day. Are you going to learn how to understand yourself better? Are you taking time daily to get in touch with your heart?

It’s a must if you want to grow. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. I know that it’s easier to do what we’ve always done. I also know that playing it safe isn’t the life I want to live.

I want to challenge myself daily to grow on a spiritual level. I want to take the time to be still, and to learn to listen to God. If I want to open my heart, it’s going to take commitment.

We always make time for those things that are important to us. What’s truly important to you?
