Welcome to my house

We have a family rule at our 🏡 house.I learned this lesson from one of my best friends families.

Even though I absolutely hated it as a child I love it today! 💜
Its one of the most amazing lessons I’ve ever learned. There are some memories, that are forever etched in your heart and your mind. For me, this is one of the things that made me feel loved.
I might have fought tooth and nail against it as a teeneager, but as an adult I can honestly say that I treasure it, and it makes my heart smile.
Whenever I spent the night with Tiffany Gibson on a Saturday night, her parents Eddie C Scipio and Marsha Rockhold-Scipio always, always, ALWAYS, made me to go to church with them on Sundays.
This was not up for negotiations, and this was also one rule that you didn’t break. (We may have snuck out a few times but that’s a whole different story) I digress 💜
Having parents who care about the important things is a rare commodity these days. Filling your spirit with God is an important part of being happy and whole. Taking time to rest and worship on Sunday is a must for a healthy family.
I learned so many valuable lessons hanging out in the Scipio home, and I have a ton of memories from all of them. But I think this Saturday night rule is by far one of my favorites.
The Hayduk family rules say the same thing as the Scipio’s, if your staying over Saturday, you can count on going to church on Sunday with us. If you don’t want to go to church, then you better sleep over on a Friday night! 😊
Sometimes in life God gives us a family outside of our own. We are able to see what life is like in their home, and we can learn some priceless lessons there.
I am so thankful I was made to go to church when I was younger. And I would be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy hearing my daughter grumble about it! She reminds me of myself at that age, and I know that one day when she’s older she will thank me for making her do the things that she didn’t want to do.
I’m willing to bet that the Scipio’s changed a whole lot more lives over the years than just mine.
Thank you for all of lessons I carry with me today!
They are being handed down to the next generation💜
I love you friends 💜✌️🙏
