Stand up for yourself

Sometimes in life it’s easy to stand up for yourself, and other times it’s not so easy. I guess it all depends on the situations and who you are dealing with.
Most of us have a code of ethics we follow through out our lives. For example I don’t steal from anyone or any store because that’s not something I agree with. It’s been engrained in me for a very long time. When I was in middle school I do very clearly remember stealing mascara from our local drug store. I’m not sure if it was the thrill of it, or if I was in one of my rebellious stages. But I do remember thinking it wasn’t right even though I was doing it. And I also remember the thrill that came with not getting caught. It was a little relief and a lot of adrenaline.
I think as we all grow older our main values and morals stick with us. We tend to use them as a guiding light to help us navigate our way through this world.
We turn to them when we’re not sure how we feel about things. But sometimes our values and our morals come crashing down around us. This is when we have to go within ourselves. We have to feel the pain and the hurt, and then we have to decide what we’re going to do about it.
Our hearts might be hurting and they will somehow try to figure away to make it work , while our mind tricks us into believing it’s not a big deal. This is when you know there’s a serious disconnect between your spirit and your mind.
There are many things that we cannot accomplish on our own. That’s when God comes in. He lets us know that we are never alone because he’s always right beside us. He knows what’s on our hearts and he also knows what’s on our minds.
You can’t trick him ever, he already knows the outcome. When someone is truly sorry about their mistakes you will know it in your heart and you will see it in their eyes.
Learn how to have a voice again, because you matter. If something or someone doesn’t have your best intentions in their own heart, then they are not going to honor your love you the way that you deserve. Healing comes from the heart not from the mind, and it matters what you do with your day. It matters what you feed your mind, and it matters if your soul is open or if it’s closed.
We teach people how to treat us by what we allow in our lives. Know your worth friends💜

If you can’t figure out what to do then give to God because with him beside you, you’ll never be alone.
