I love that we take a whole day to celebrate the moms in our lives. Moms deserve a day that’s dedicated to Them. Being a mom is one of the most amazing jobs in the world, and it’s also one of the hardest. I’ve been a mom for 25 years! I am also now a GiGi, so I get to experience the grandma side of things. I decided to write my blog a day early, because tomorrow is my birthday!
Being a mom means many things to me. I’ve watched my mother and my grandmother over the years, and they tend to be the glue that holds it all together. If it weren’t for moms, then families would fall apart.
Moms bring order to chaos, and they’re often the voice of reason.
They are the gentle touch on your shoulder that says “are you ok?”
The kiss on your forehead, when your not feeling well.
Moms sometimes lose their cool, and have a short temper, that’s ok because she’s human.
Moms support all of your crazy adventures, and freeze their asses off outside to watch your sporting events.
Moms never give up on you, because we can see who you really are, beneath all of your hard exterior.
Being a mom is your first lesson in unconditional love. Your children teach your how to be faithful, and kind. And, our children teach us as many lessons as we teach them, if we’re willing to learn.
Love begins and ends with a mom. Your sacrifices never go unnoticed, even if it feels like it sometimes.
Being a mom means many things, but I think if I could sum it up into one word, then I would choose love.
Love is what makes everything better.
Before I was a mom, I was a broken little girl. I still carry her around with me, but my children have helped me heal her. My kids might not understand sometimes when I react a certain way, but I try to explain it to them. Before I was your mom I was a little girl myself, and I want your life to be better then mine was.
I would not be half of the mom I am today without my mom, and my girdriends!
Let’s be honest if it weren’t mommas, the world would fall apart! There would be no love, no hope, no sunshine!
Love is your mom💜
