We must take the time to love ourselves. We need to understand ourselves, and learn to make peace with ourselves. We have the opportunity daily to create new stories, and release the old ones, that no longer serve us. We have the ability to transform our souls, and to bring inner peace to our lives. We can learn to stop the chaos, and to create a peaceful presence. We can do whatever we want, if we make up our minds to do so.
The voices in your head are always going to be there. So, what can you do about it? You can commit to learning to understand where they come from, or you can let them rule your life. They are developed quite young I can assure you of that, but now it’s time for you to take control of them. It’s time to see the pattern of your thoughts, and learn how to become still. When your brain is racing, and it’s going crazy you are too far in the future. You are worrying about things that probably won’t even happen. When you do this, you head straight into denial, and after denial comes confusion.
Denial, and confusion are both ways of keeping you stuck. They are the egos way of trying to survive. Everyone has experienced this at some point in their life. Have you ever been in an argument with someone you love? In the beginning, things seem clear and precise, you know exactly why your upset, and your going to verbalize it. But then the other person responds, and you respond back, and before you know it, you are completely off topic. You are no longer engaging in healthy communication. You are merely responding just to be right, and you both enter the familiar stages of denial, and confusion.
Understanding the pattern, is part of breaking our own bad habits. We must learn about ourselves and then we will find happiness. We must always look inside for the answers. So often we are triggered by people, or things in our lives, and we are hurt by them. But I’m here to tell you, that just because you think something, doesn’t mean it’s true. When I feel hurt by someone, at first my ego goes into full psycho mode, and it wants to scratch your eyes out. But then, once I’m out of my emotional brain, I ask myself why did that bother me? What lessons do I need to learn about myself from this situation? The more I practice this the better I become at it. It’s a habit, that I’ve had to learn, and eventually its become second nature.
Yes you will still feel hurt sometimes, but you will quickly recover from it. You have done the work, to heal that part of yourself, so it can no longer cause you pain. You must be brave and always look within if you truly want to change. You must take control of your life, and your feelings, and your emotions. It’s time to heal the broken parts, because when you do, your whole life is going to change. You are going to attract real happiness, and real authentic relationships. You will feel more peace and more balance. You will have a purpose, and it will align with your heart.
When you learn to love yourself you will blossom into the beautiful, unique, amazing person that you are supposed to be.
In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.
