Give your hands to serve and your hearts to love

Today I’m going to inspire you to give some of your time away. I’ve been doing hair for or local theatre group, and it’s been amazing.
Yes I’m a little tired, after working all day and then going in to do more hair, but it’s so worth it. I get to give, and in doing so it makes my heart full. When you give, then you’re open to receive. What do you give away that makes you feel good?
These little people grades 4-8 have brought so much happiness to my soul. They are all unique and amazing in different ways. Their spirits are full of love, and they are always smiling. Being a theatre mom is no joke. It’s just like playing a sport, only they are not as stinky.
I bring them into my little space, and the music is playing and the chatter is all around us. I try to provide a positive, fun environment for them to hang out in, until the show. (Show times at 7:30, we start getting ready at 4:30) I invite them into my space, and I share my love and peace with them. I try to provide a little bit of laughter, a little bit of love, and a whole lot of fun.
Their excitement and the enthusiasm, is infectious. This a perfect way for me to be involved, without being over involved. (I don’t do helicopter parenting) I am thankful for every single kid, I’ve met so far. They are all so different, yet the same. They all have passion, heart, grit, determination, stamina, and flexibility. They are our future leaders, and they are the kids who are brave enough to change the world.
They have one last public performance this afternoon, and then one performance for the elementary schools Monday morning.
My heart will be sad when it’s all over, but my soul will be full of love. You must give selflessly sometimes. You must do things that others aren’t willing to do. When you put out positive  energy, it comes back to you!

I am the lucky one! I am blessed⭐

Volunteers do not necessarily have the time, they have the heart 💕
