It sounds so cliche, but it’s so true. In order to change your life, you need to simply change some habits. You need to add a new habit once a month, that you stick to and you do daily, or at least several times a week.
I’m not talking about anything crazy here. It’s the littlest things that add up. Here are some healthy habits that I do weekly, for my mind and my soul.
Exercise: I not only do this to get into shape, but also for the benefits it has on my brain. Exercise releases happy endorphins, that I need in my life.
Reading: I am always seeking new ways to understand myself and help others. This could be as little as 20 minutes a day, at the end of the month that’s really going to add up. Find some kind of personal development book that helps you look inside.
Writing: I write a blog and it’s very therapeutic. I’m able to write things out sometimes as they occur so they don’t get stuck inside. No, you don’t need to write a blog, but you could start a journal. You could write down how your feeling daily, and then go from there. Writing frees emotions that we don’t know what to do with.
Volunteer: My husband and I coach my daughters church basketball team. (I never even played a sport) We have the most amazing little group of 6 girls. Being with them on Saturday morning fills my heart and my soul up. I learn so much from them each week, and it keeps a smile in my heart. You don’t have to coach a team, but find something, that you want to do for someone else and do it. When you give you will receive, that’s the law of attraction.
Music: I love music, it’s a very important part of my life. The next time you are in a funk, go put on your favorite song, and sing your little heart out! What ever makes you feel good on the inside and helps your brain quiet down.
Hang out with people who build
You up, and make you better. We are the sum of the 10 people we spend the most time with. Make sure the people who surround you make you better, not bitter. We always have a choice, about who we align ourselves with💜
Do something that scares the shit out of you! It’s the only way to grow beyond our fears, it’s how we retrain ourselves to move past the scary, and to see what’s on the other side!
