When I decided to start up a business marketing anti aging products, the first thing  they wanted to know was, “What’s your Why?” I was like “what?” I had never heard it put that way before.  Essentially why am I doing this? What’s my reasoning, what’s my motivation? Like many of you, I found this a little bit cheesy at first, but I played along.  My why was my family, and to get free product.

Fast forward 11 months and I can tell you that my family is still my why.  But I have many more to add to the list.  I like the challenge it presents, in my everyday life, to do something a little different each day.  I love that I have to practice my presence, and I have to keep my ego in check.  If someone rejects my miracle bottle, it has nothing to do with me personally.  I have to learn to take the rejection,  and not take it on as my rejection.  I love that it gets me out of my comfort zone, because this is when I grow the most.  I love it when people send me their pictures, and they are smiling from ear to ear. I love it when I receive messages from people telling me how amazing their skin is, and how thankful they are that I introduced them to my secret.

I love that I get to meet all kinds of new people on the Internet.  I get to make new connections daily, that I would have never made other wise. I love that I can meet people from the comfort of my own living room.  I love that I can run a business in my pajamas, from my couch. I love that I am teaching my children about taking risks, and doing something out of the ordinary.  I love that I get to help people on so many different levels.  Need help with you hair? I’m your girl, and we all know your hair stylist is your therapist as well.  Need help with your skin? I can help you with that also.  Want to start your own business? Awesome because that’s my department too. I help people believe in themselves again, I show them the opportunity, but they are the brave ones.

I didn’t realize when I started this that my why was so important, but now I totally get it.  It’s what keeps you going when you want to quit.  It’s ever-changing and growing bigger than you could ever imagine. It’s in essence your dreams that are outside of yourself.  It’s a goal,  but so much more.  This year has been a real game changer for me on a personal level. I’ve completely thrown myself out there, and I’ve learned some valuable lessons.  Some of them really amazing , and some of them where I could kick myself in the ass. But you know what, every person I’ve encountered has been a lesson, or a blessing.   This blog is one of the things that I didn’t know I was going to do.  I had a little thought about it, but I had always pushed it aside, and thought it would be to much work.  But it hasn’t! It’s been amazing, and therapeutic, and I’ve stayed committed.

I’m proud of myself on so many levels! I don’t pretend to be perfect. I am a human and I make plenty of mistakes. But I do spend lots of time looking inward for my answers. I think that the more I learn about myself, the more I can share with you.  Yoga has been an amazing addition to my life this year.  I didn’t realize how much it would do for my mind, and my soul.  It’s no accident that one thing has led to another, it’s exactly the way it’s supposed to be.  I look forward to continuing to share my journey with you, as my business and myself evolves! I hope you have a  Merry Christmas this week.
