Fathers Day

Happy Father’s Day to my husband! He is the best father a kid could ask for.  He raised my son since he was 7 years old.  He had a choice in life to become a step parent and even though it was not always easy, he never quit.  When we got married, he got a package deal, my son and I.  He stepped up and he filled a role that many others could not fill.  God sent Jon to me because I needed a faithful, honest and present man who would never leave me and who would never quit on our family.
Our daughter Peyton is now 11 and he has been her biggest fan since the day she was born.  He actually likes to spend time with his daughter. He takes her on vacations and he would rather do something with his family than with his friends any day.  He takes the time to learn new ways to communicate with her and with me. For that, we are blessed.

We now have our first granddaughter, Tatum.  I’ve been able to see Jon in a whole new light.  When she comes over he just lights up.  He loves her as much as I do and I can’t wait to see him grow with her.

Jon and I have been married for 15 years and I know without a doubt that we will be together for 15 more.  So babe, this is for you.  I wish you the best Father’s Day ever.  You have wanted me to go out west with you for years, and I am finally here with you. It makes my heart happy to be here with you.  I couldn’t think of a better gift to give you than to spend a week with you at your most favorite place ever.

Thank you for being the best daddy ever! Thank you for being faithful, honest, caring, compassionate and willing to grow with me.  Tevin, Peyton and I are so glad we met you all of those years ago.  Our marriage is a gift and so are you!

Happy Father’s Day to the one who never leaves, to the one who never quits, and to the one who is mine until the end of time.  I love you babe.
